While you are all excited about your new puppy and thinking ahead of what your puppy will need when they come home you might want to learn about training, how dogs think and what motivates them. While toys and proper nutrition is important, the bond between you and your puppy is essential first step in training. The training starts from the moment you meet your puppy and take him/her home. Your every moment interaction with your dog either builds trust and respect or creates confusion and/or anxiety. Dogs have needs specific to their canine species and you can learn how to fulfill it by learning about it. It is far more important then toys or new beds and crates.
